BRIDGE brings together organisations from Czechia, Germany and Spain that have long been working with local communities, young people and people with migration experience.

At a time of growing polarization and hate speech, we want to explore different paths. We believe that personal stories, encounters and shared activities can help build more resilient and open communities.

Through the project, we will focus on storytelling, sharing experiences and community-based approaches that create space for dialogue, empathy and mutual understanding.

Three organisations with different experiences and approaches are working together in the project:

NESEHNUTÍ (Czechia) has been combining community work, education and advocacy since 1997. It works on human rights, social inclusion and supporting communities whose voices are often overlooked. The organisation works with young people, organises educational and community activities and promotes active participation in public life.

Über den Tellerrand (Germany) has been bringing people together through food since 2013. It organises participatory cooking events as well as cultural, creative and sports activities, creating safer spaces where people from different backgrounds can meet. Through a network of 43 local groups and hundreds of volunteers, it helps build relationships and a sense of belonging.

Fundación Al Fanar (Spain) focuses on combating stereotypes, Islamophobia and hate speech. Through education, media work, research and youth engagement, it promotes dialogue between European and Arab societies and develops tools for more inclusive public debate.

The BRIDGE project is co-funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ programme.
